2012: The Chapter’s 18th Consecutive Student-Built House
Each year, the ISU-IWU joint chapter builds one or more homes in the Bloomington-Normal community. This year, students are building a home on E. Douglass St. for Susan and her 2 year-old son. ISU and IWU students volunteer each Saturday morning throughout the school year and work and work alongside the future homeowner and construction mentors. The house started in August with a groundbreaking ceremony and will be completed in April. The house blessing ceremony in April is open to the public and anyone interested is welcome to attend.
ISU Habitat would like to thank all the volunteers, donors and supporters for making the chapter’s 18th build a reality.
